Good morning everyone!๐Ÿ˜ I must say I have been journaling more and more lately to the point where I've grown to love it and haven't been able to stop. I never thought I would do it 3 days in a row let alone do it when the moment calls for it. Its been stress relieving actually and I think its such a beautiful way to release all the thoughts that you have scrambled in your mind. I actually feel like I went through a meditated yoga session without the physical acts of yoga and I love it because the truth is I have a really bad habit of over thinking to the point where it gets anxiety inducing and there were times I even had panic attacks without even realizing I was having one and I have recently began to notice with the โค palpitations when I go through one. I'm slowly trying to break out of it and I'm not diagnosed with anxiety or anything but every day as I try to grow and better myself in more ways then most I started to notice my own little pitfalls and what I can do to resolve and nourish the deeper parts of myself that need that attention and I don't just journal when I'm stressed I do it because I genuinely enjoy doing it. I enjoy writing. I love the feel of a good pen gliding across the pages as I'm trying to fill in all the lined space on a page as I let out all my ideas, my plans, my goals, my dreams, my stress, my feelings all on these crisp yet smooth pages. I find myself in a place where I know that I can entirely be me and have a space for it. It feels very freeing and I love to flip through the pages as if completed my life's work in a matter of an hour. Yeah that's what that feels like… P.S. Comment down below do you journal and what do you do for self love and care? ๐Ÿ’˜๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ–Šโœจ๐Ÿ˜„ P.P.S.Want to buy the pens ๐Ÿ–‹ Im using for my journaling and everyday use click the link here: z-grip flight stick ball point pens link:ย https://amzn.to/37wOKTu z-grip retractable pens link:ย https://amzn.to/2uE1f0O Or you can find the link in my bio.๐Ÿ˜Š P.P.P.P.S. A Letter to My Future Self๐Ÿ–‹

Trying out my new calligraphy kit! So cool! I’m thinking about taking Calligraphy Lessons!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’“
I forgot to change the month on my calendar! It was so cool using that candle to make that stamp and the feather calligraphy pen I used was a little hard to use but it was still fun. The gold pen is what I use for journaling its one of my favorites.๐Ÿ˜Œ
Letter: Dear, Future Self,
I want you to know that this new beginning you are about to embark on is going to be full of obstacles that I know your going to handle on your own and you are going to seek help from time to time but sometimes that help can come in the form of prayer, patience, perseverance, and understanding. You have to be strong, smart, and think before you speak. It will be alright. Read this as a reminder that everything will be okay and work out in the way it was meant too.
Love, yours truly. โค

Glass Empty

The saying or the pondering, riddling, question that’s comes up in many social gatherings is the following :

“Is the glass half full or half empty?”

When this question comes up it brings about two different perspectives on how you look at the world based on the answer you give causing a division between two types of people. According to some of the research I found on this litmus test it suggests that the origins of such a test determines whether a person is an optimist or a pessimist. An optimist would answer the question as the “Glass is half full” while a pessimist would answer the question as the “Glass is half empty.” If your an optimist you will always see the good in a situation no matter how bad it gets where as a pessimist will always sees the bad in a situation no matter how much good there is, but if we looked at this common idiom from a different angle what if we were to use this concept in terms of goals or life objectives or life purpose lets see what answers we would get.

For example if you answered the question with : “The glass is half full.” It suggests that this person perceives the world or life for that matter as being half fulfilled and that you have a sense of gratitude or sense of achievement of what you have accomplished so far in life and that you are half way there in attaining all of your goals, aspirations, and life objective.

The second way to answer this question is: “The glass is half empty.” Which suggests that the person that gives this answer perceives the world or life as not seeing the fruits of their labor and that they still have a longs way to go.

Now if we analyze both of these answers it only presents you with two answers to choose from meaning two options and two choices. What if we made our own choice or our own analysis and said what if “The glass is empty.” Meaning regardless how half empty or full it appears you choose to still see empty. Leaving the rest of us skeptical as to why this person is not willing to give a choice but just see a glass. Seeing the glass as empty is either telling the world that the glass is never full and there is limitless opportunities; that life is a journey that chooses to flow seamlessly without so much having to make a choice but see that our options are boundless and should go against the tests of time. But lets say if someone sees a glass that is full to the top and gives the answer: “The glass is full.” While the person knowingly or unknowingly is aware that the glass can tip over at any time and become empty. It is still possible to fill the fully glassed water with particles and materials such as, beads, sand, dirt, even life itself such as a plant or a fish etc. showing you that there is still more that can be filled within that glass of water. Thereby going against humanity’s perception of what’s possible…so if you drink from that glass is it still considered full or empty?

Which begs the question…”How do you choose to see your glass?”

When Neo from the movie “The Matrix” is tested with bending the spoon he was forced to look at the impossible and see that there is no spoon. Humanity has a way of dividing the world in twos as we are taught early on to only choose from the following options that are shown when we should be taught to see beyond our differences and create our own. Why not look deeper, outside of the box, instead of settling for the obvious. A study was conducted using a group of East Asian and Western American students which involved a painting of a tiger in the jungle as they asked each group what did they see? They found that the American students focused and saw solely the tiger while the East Asian students focused on what was around the tiger such as the plants, colors, and running water which brought in to question how the worldwide view is not universal but different in the east and west due to the affects of culture and other various aspects of both areas.

But if we were to look at the painting from a different angle like Neo from “The Matrix” looked at the spoon we could see the depths of detail put into the painting and the characters put into place by the artist and this painting can easily become a different piece of art. For example, if we were to repaint the entire canvas black it would be a new piece of art work allowing us to draw characters or none at all meaning this painting can be repainted over and over again into another work of art making it limitless. Which answers the question as, “There is no painting.”

So now I ask how do you choose to look at your life? Do you want to stay in the box or do you want to look outside of it? Does the facets of this world confuse you so much to the point that you rather choose to settle and pick the obvious answer instead of looking beyond the options you are given because after all life has never had one answer. There is still so much that humanity has yet to discover and learn. Why not choose to see the limitless possibilities of exploration allowing our minds to stay in awe because after all I choose to see the glass as empty making my options in life limitless and that I do not have to settle with one career, one idea, one way of living, being, and identifying in a way that allows me to keep my mind wide open to a world of limitless possibilities. What do you choose? What’s your answer?

Life…

Life! I often wondered why life had to be such an obstacle. Why humanity had to spin around and around like a hamster wheel going nowhere when there should be something rewarding and deserving in the end of all that struggle. Even as a child there is some form of struggle that you have to endure, but as adults we tend to look at children as being lucky not having to worry about bills, tickets, high cholesterol, etc. But as adults we also forget that children are looking at us as these powerful God-like figures that have the ability to do anything and everything such as…reaching the kitchen sink for example. We forget that children have to struggle grasping the circle of life, emotions, colors, numbers, hygiene, essentially how to live in order to survive until they reach adulthood, but even though we gain all the basic life skills that we learn growing up as a child you come to learn as an adult that the struggle isn’t over and you have to continue to learn in order to prepare for the next life obstacle. Throughout history humanity has been forced to learn over and over again in order to:

(A) Overcome the next obstacle that life presents to them

and

(B) To stop making the same mistakes they made in the past until they learned the lesson that was prescribed.

Which begs the question… what is life?

Is it an endless cycle of paradigms of universal decree or are we bound to something more greater then the average day to day. Whatever the case may be something has got to give to this thing called life that we all get lost in and should not take for granted. Lets not forget those children and adults that struggle with disease, poverty, and a broken home. We need to be humble and appreciate what life has to offer and make our mark on it because when we do leave no one will know why you were here? What was your purpose or you contribution to humanity? Did you leave your mark? Your mark doesnt have to be big it could be something simple as cooking dinner for your family or taking your child to the playground. Let someone remember you for your service, accomplish your goals, make your dreams a reality even the arts and entertainment section make some sort of a contribution to humanity. Did that artist not make you wonder at their piece and question and allow your mind to process the details of their work? Did the show not put a smile on your face and give you necessary endorphins that contributed to your development as a child? Is it this cosmos thats got you doubting your true capacity and abilites to shine. I remember taking my red bike for a ride as a child and when I reached a hill I would look over and get so excited not realizing the fall I was about to endure but once I went down I felt like I was flying but as soon as I felt like I was losing control I hit the break to hard and almost colided into incoming traffic, but when I did it again I learned if I press the break a little at a time while going down the hill, (slowing down my speed) that I wouldnt have to worry about getting hit by a car. Thats how I would describe life you learn how to ride but you dont know how to steer until you try. So ride in steps and see where the view takes you lets just hope its not a one way trip to nowhere and if it is at least you can say you tried and you can always try the next hill that your willing to take on.

Rain…

Rain! I love the rain! It makes me happy and it makes me sad because its peaceful at the same time depressing. I remember me and my younger sibling would run bare foot in the pouring rain, splashing and kicking our feet in these big dirty puddles enjoying mother nature’s pool. We would get soaked from head to toe smiling and laughing at the sound of the splashes at the same time screaming and ducking in fear of the thunder and lightning. We loved that we were the only ones outside enjoying this disaster as the world stood silent until the threat was over. As we embarked on our quest of rain tag not caring what anyone thought or if we got sick we took it all in; the moment of all moments. At the end of our play we would go back inside wrap ourselves into something really fuzzy and warm while drinking hot chocolate watching the rain until it stopped. Once it did… it was back… the world of machines and meaningless gossip. The cleanse was over until the sun came to dry and warm the earth. I miss those days. Those days when all you had to worry about was getting sick and mom not finding out you’ve been eating the brownies all this time. Now that I’m older I still like to feel young again, a kid at heart sometimes, but unfortunately most of my rainy days are used to hide my bad days, my tears, but once it rains and I get caught in the middle of it I enjoy it. While everyone else is hiding under the store hoods and bus stops I would keep walking. I would walk and walk until I was soaked from head to toe feeling cleansed by mother nature’s shower. It felt so good…refreshing actually until I had to go home and take a shower and change. This beautiful oxymoron of happy and sad weather was the definition of my childhood. I didnt understand why the sadness was there it just was. This feeling of emptiness that needed something to fill this void I had inside me. Well now that I’m older I think I realized why I was so empty I was seeking something that wasn’t there or never existed an adventure of sorts that played with my imagination until reality sank in and the sun came up. Sometimes the journey is not what’s around you its what you make of it. You are the key to your own treasure chest its up to you if you decide to open it.
